Ambitions Personnel are currently recruiting for a skilled Remanufacturing Technician to join a well-established engineering and automotive specialist based in the Ollerton area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing production team working in a specialist remanufacturing environment, restoring and rebuilding a wide range of automotive electrical and mechanical components to the highest standards. If you have strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy fault finding, and take pride in quality workmanship, this could be the ideal role for you.

The Role

As a Remanufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for rebuilding and testing a variety of automotive electrical and mechanical components including:

  • Starter Motors


  • Alternators


  • Turbochargers


  • Fan Motors


  • Wiper Motors


  • Control Boxes


  • Other specialist and bespoke assemblies


    You will play a key role in ensuring products are restored to full working order while meeting strict quality and industry standards.

    ⚙️ Key Responsibilities
    • Disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, rebuilding and testing a variety of automotive components


    • Diagnosing faults and carrying out remedial repairs where required


    • Following detailed work instructions during dismantling, assembly and testing


    • Assisting in creating work instructions where processes are not yet documented


    • Ensuring specific customer and regulatory requirements are followed where applicable, including component traceability and reporting


    • Assessing the commercial viability and availability of parts before commencing work


    • Completing tasks within agreed production timeframes


    • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment


    • Supporting all quality procedures and standards across the production process


    • Assisting with other production or engineering tasks as required


      About You

      We are looking for someone who is technically minded, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

      You may have experience in:

      • Automotive repair or remanufacturing


      • Mechanical or electrical engineering


      • Component refurbishment or rebuild work


      • Production or workshop environments


        You will ideally also have:

        • Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills


        • Good written and verbal communication


        • The ability to work effectively within a team


        • Strong organisation and multitasking abilities


        • Awareness of quality, health and safety standards


        • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint advantageous)


          Experience with technical documentation or regulated industry requirements would be beneficial but is not essential.
