Shop Floor Engineer / Assembly Fitter

Monday – Thursday | 6:00am – 3:45pm
We’re excited to be recruiting for an Assembly Fitter to join a well-established and highly respected engineering company based in Grantham. This is a key role within the production team, primarily focused on the assembly department while also offering the opportunity to support other areas of the department and develop additional skills.
If you enjoy hands-on work, building products from drawings, and being part of a friendly, experienced team, this could be a fantastic opportunity.
What you’ll be doing as Assembly Fitter:
• Assembling, building and fitting components using engineering drawings
• Using manual and air tools to rivet and screw components together.
• Carrying out basic electrical wiring following diagrams
• Working with a range of components, from small precision parts to larger assemblies
• Preparing and packaging finished products ready for dispatch.
We’d love to hear from you if you have experience in:
Mechanical assembly, engineering, electrical assembly, fitting, workshop environments, manufacturing, or automotive industries.
The ideal Assembly Fitter candidate will have:
• Solid experience in mechanical assembly and fitting
• Basic electrical wiring skills including looming and crimping
• An understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
