Role Overview:
As a Recycling Operative, you will be a key member of the team, responsible for sorting and processing recyclable materials in an efficient and environmentally-friendly manner. You will play an essential role in ensuring that materials are sorted accurately and safely, contributing to the company's sustainability goals and supporting a clean and organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and process recyclable materials in line with company guidelines.
- Ensure all recyclable items are stored and disposed of correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organised recycling area.
- Assist with loading and unloading of recyclable materials.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is working properly.
- Collaborate with the team to meet recycling targets.
- Support with general recycling duties as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a recycling or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Flexibility and reliability with a positive attitude.
- A proactive approach to work and willingness to learn.
- Be able to drive to the location.
