Chef – Mildmay’s Whiteoaks (Extra Care Service)
£16.50 per hour – 35 hours per week
5 days over 7 | 7:30am–3:00pm
We’re looking for a passionate and talented Chef to join our team at Mildmay’s Whiteoaks, preparing fresh, nutritious lunches for our extra care elderly residents. If you love creating great-tasting food that brings joy to others, we’d love to hear from you!
What you’ll be doing:- Preparing delicious, high‑quality meals that delight our residents
- Overseeing and implementing menu changes
- Identifying opportunities to improve the food service
- Listening and responding to customer feedback
- Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
- Representing Healthcare with a positive and professional attitude
- Monitoring stock and keeping the kitchen well‑supplied
- Maintaining high hygiene standards and overseeing kitchen cleaning
- Ensuring full compliance with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations
- A passion for great‑tasting food and exceptional customer service
- A City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
- Experience supervising a team
- Previous experience in a similar Chef role
- A valid Food Hygiene certificate
- A flexible, positive approach to working
