What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential within a caring Catholic school community.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the SENCo and senior leaders to support high-quality teaching and learning across the school. Responsibilities will include delivering small group interventions, supporting pupils with SEND, assisting with assessment and classroom preparation, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to the wider life of the school.
At times, the role will require covering whole classes in the absence of the teacher, so confidence in leading learning and managing a classroom effectively is essential.
What the school offers its staff
We can offer:
• A supportive and dedicated Local Governing Body and Staff
• Highly effective safeguarding procedures.
• A working environment where all feel valued and respected.
• Supportive colleagues and governors with a clear vision and high aspirations for the school.
• A highly dedicated and inspirational team.
• A commitment to relevant, personalised Continuous Professional Development.
• A happy, calm and welcoming working environment.
• Opportunities to work within the wider STOCCAT team
• Generous 22.7% Local Government Pension scheme employer contribution
• Recognition of continuous Local Government service (where applicable)
Commitment to safeguarding
St Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all children, and expects our staff to share this commitment. The post will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, a prohibition from teaching check, all qualifications verified and references will be taken up prior to the time of interview.
