Salary (Actual Salary): £29,308.81 to £31,625.75per annum

Contract : Fixed term contract ending 31 August 2026

Working Pattern: 37 hours /week , Term time only + 5 days

What are we looking for?

We are seeking to appoint a committed individual to work as part of a dedicated team of inclusion staff together with the Vice Principal. The Ideal candidate will support children whose education is at risk and help families to improve their children's access to learning and enable all children and young people to maximise their educational opportunities, especially those in vulnerable groups that may need additional support. The role of Education Welfare Officer / Attendance Manager will involve leading the academy attendance team to engage students and their parents/carers where poor attendance is identified as a barrier to learning. The successful candidate will be a highly self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience of working with children and families and with other agencies is essential, preferably within an education welfare setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual. The ideal candidate will be solution focused, have excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage our students and families. Home visits are required for this post so you will require a current UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students. The purpose of this post is to fulfil our responsibility in the improvement of attendance and enhance the life chances of our students at Outwood Academy Ripon.
