The Upper Nidderdale Primary Federation is seeking an inspiring and highly effective professional to join our senior leadership team as Assistant Headteacher with a teaching commitment in Upper Key Stage 2.Itis a significant leadership position with real influence, responsibility and strategic impact across two schools.

The role:
This is a pivotal leadership post within the Federation. The Assistant Headteacher will playa central role in school improvement, safeguarding culture and strategic development.
Key responsibilities include:
• Upper Key Stage 2 class teacher (mixed-age experience desirable)
• Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
• Core subject leadership across the Federation
• Driving excellence in teaching, learning and assessment
• Leading robust data analysis, identifying and overcoming barriers for learning through high quality teaching and targeted intervention
• Contributing to Federation-wide strategic planning and development
• Coaching and developing colleagues to strengthen practice
This role offers the opportunity to lead with autonomy, shape systems and influence whole-school direction while remaining closely connected to classroom practice.
We Are Looking for a Leader Who:
• Is an exceptional classroom practitioner with a strong track record of impact?
• Has substantial experience of sustained pupil progress
• Demonstrates deep expertise in SEND practice, including working with pupils with EHCPs
• Has experience of leadership beyond their own classroom
• Champions inclusive practice andhigh expectationsfor all
• Builds trust and strong partnerships with pupils,familiesand colleagues
• Shows resilience,integrityand warmth
• Proactive in their approach
• Is ready to take strategic responsibility and contribute meaningfully at senior leadership level
