Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Stores Person to join our team at an established bathroom and washroom furniture manufacturer in New Milton, Hampshire. This is a permanent position with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
The role offers a competitive starting salary of £14.00 per hour, with opportunities for progression and career development.
Responsibilities
As a Stores Person, your key responsibilities will include:
• Receiving and Storing Goods: Assist in receiving deliveries, checking items against delivery notes, and storing goods in designated areas.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock records, conduct stock checks, and ensure the store area is well-organized.
• Order Picking and Packing: Pick and pack materials and products accurately for production and customer orders, following instructions and company standards.
• Product Handling: Safely handle and move products, including heavy items, using manual handling techniques and equipment.
• Goods Dispatch: Prepare and dispatch orders to customers, ensuring all documentation and labeling is completed correctly.
• General Store Maintenance: Keep the store area clean, tidy, and safe by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Support Production Team: Work closely with the production team to ensure they have the necessary stock and supplies for manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• An up-to-date counterbalance forklift licence (essential).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in carrying out tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
• Basic computer skills (advantageous).
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks.
• A willingness to learn and develop within the role.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day will involve receiving and organizing deliveries, managing inventory, picking and packing orders, and supporting the production team with stock and supplies. You will also ensure the store area is clean, safe, and well-maintained, while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
