To recognise boundaries of own extended scope of practice as it develops and to manage associated clinical risk at all times To make appropriate referrals to other services and clinicians based on assessment and investigation finding To ensure effective discharge planning within the team, liaising with other members of the MDT as appropriate, including referrers The post requires a flexible approach to working and requires the post holder to attend a weekly evening Urogynaecology MDT Communication To demonstrate expert ability to communicate effectively with others and be able to persuade and motivate others, including staff and patients To respond appropriately to the patients level of communication and understanding, facilitating the best possible communication outcomes. For example, patients may be deaf, blind, or unable to communicate in English To clearly communicate highly complex and often sensitive information, knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, pathology and treatment techniques to patients and staff while being sensitive to their prior levels of knowledge and understanding For further details please see the attached job description.
