System Architect - EW Payload (Outside IR35)


Location: Lincoln (2-3 days per week on-site)
Rate: £600 per day Outside IR35
Contract Duration: March to mid‑May (short-term engagement)
Start Date: March 2026


Overview

We are seeking an experienced System Architect with strong Electronic Warfare (EW) Payload expertise to support a focused EW standardisation project. This is a short-term, high-impact engagement ideal for a contractor with deep technical knowledge and the ability to deliver quickly in a complex defence environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead system architecture activity for an EW payload standardisation work package.Provide technical guidance, documentation, and architectural oversight across the EW domain.Ensure alignment with existing standards, frameworks, and programme requirements.Work closely with engineering, integration, and programme teams to drive consistency and technical clarity.Produce high‑quality outputs within tight timescales.

Essential Experience

Proven background as a System Architect within defence or EW‑related programmes.Strong understanding of EW payloads, system design, and integration principles.Experience working with EW standards, architectures, and system-of-systems environments.Ability to operate autonomously and deliver to short deadlines.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
