Job Title: Complex Care Worker

Location: South Croydon

Rate of Pay: Day Tier 1: £13.85 ph | Day Tier 3 (Comp): £16.37 ph | Night Tier 1: £14.72 ph | Night Tier 3 (Comp): £17.07 ph

Shifts: Part-Time (08:00 - 13:00) | 3-4 shifts weekly

Contract Type: Part-time

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support a client living with Motor Neurone Disease in their own home in South Croydon. You will be working as part of a dedicated team on a 2:1 basis, ensuring the highest standard of clinical and emotional support.

Service User-Specific Information: The client has two young children (aged 5 and 7), so we are looking for someone who is energetic, engaging, and comfortable in a family-oriented environment. You will also assist the client with high-tech communication tools.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Tracheostomy Care (Essential experience required)

  • Complex Manual Handling

  • Suctioning and Cough Assist

  • PEG feeding, Ventilator, and Nebulizer management

  • Supporting non-verbal communication via eye-gaze technology

  • Personal and pressure area care

  • Supporting daily routines and emotional wellbeing

You'll receive full training and undertake shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident and well prepared.

Key Requirements

  • Experienced in Tracheostomy care (Mandatory).

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with computers/home technology.

  • Great with kids; a positive and bright presence in the home.

  • Minimum 6 months of professional care experience.

  • Preferably female (males will be considered).

  • Non-drivers are welcome to apply.

  • Right to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
