Join our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Team at this pivotal moment. As EDI Student and Staff Experience Officer, you’ll help embed an anti-racist ethos and advance our wider EDI agenda, ensuring equity, belonging and inclusion are meaningful and visible for every colleague and student at USW. Central to this role is supporting the social mobility of our learners, helping to remove barriers and create fair access to opportunity so that all can succeed, regardless of background.

You’ll design and deliver initiatives that bring people together, strengthen collaboration, and champion equity across the university, with a strong focus on advancing race equity and supporting our Race Equality Charter commitments. Your work will help create environments where everyone feels they belong, their voices are heard, and their potential is recognised.

We’re looking for a proactive, empathetic connector who can build partnerships, engage diverse communities, and amplify underrepresented voices. Lived experience and a strong understanding of race equity work in higher education or similar settings are especially welcomed.

The right person will be values-driven, courageous in challenging inequality, and deeply committed to creating a university where inclusion is embedded, social mobility is enabled, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

This is a full time 2-year fixed term post with the expectation that you will have a physical presence across all campuses with some working from home flexibility.

If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges.
