The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to uncovering and demonstrating the impact of the world leading research undertaken at the University of Edinburgh. Working within a team of research impact and engagement professionals based in the central research office, you will be associated with specific disciplinary areas mainly within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. You will work with academic and professional services colleagues to identify, evidence and develop impact from research, creating compelling narratives for the Research Excellence Framework and beyond. You will contribute to a vibrant and collegiate research culture and environment, learning from and sharing good practice with colleagues across the University.
Attributes for success:
A broad understanding of the research disciplines within the arts, humanities and social sciences.
Experience of working in partnership with professional services and academic colleagues at all levels of seniority, engendering a culture of open dialogue and constructive challenge.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including ability to communicate complex and/or technical concepts to non-expert audiences.
Ability to adapt to different ways of working across varied disciplines.
This post is full time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering 0.8FTE or flexible working patterns. The University of Edinburgh operates a hybrid working policy based on business need.
