A Vacancy at East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust.


Applications are invited for a Junior Clinical Fellow position commencing on 1 April 2026. This is a fixed-term post for four months, ending on 4 August 2026

This is a fantastic opportunity within East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust for the successful candidate to gain experience of working within General Surgery. The post is based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage and is full time.

The Junior Clinical Fellow will have the opportunity to further their knowledge through exposure to clinics, operating lists (elective and emergency), ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings and formal teaching. The post holder will be encouraged to participate in audits, presentations and teachings. Although, this post is not recognised for training the appointee will be encouraged in their training and development within the role.

Applicants must hold full GMC registration and licence to practice. Applications from those wishing to work part-time or job share are welcomed

• Initial resuscitation and management of all emergency patients presenting to the department
• Initiation of the necessary investigation of patients and the referral to the relevant on-call specialist team when indicated

• Daily ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient management of patients, outpatients and endoscopy
