The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for leading and delivering an efficient and comprehensive accounting and credit control service, covering Overseas and Private Patient income streams. The role has direct management responsibility for a team of Credit Controllers, Billing Officers, and a Deputy Manager, ensuring high performance, accountability, and continuous development.

The post holder will play a key role in supporting the wider objectives of the Trust by driving effective debt reduction, strengthening income recovery processes, and ensuring income is billed accurately and collected within agreed timeframes.

In addition to operational leadership, the role requires active involvement in training, supporting, and advising both finance and non-finance colleagues to improve income awareness & compliance

The Accounts Receivable Manager provides a critical customer-focused function by analysing, investigating, and resolving complex financial and debt-related queries. Clear, professional, and confident communication is essential when liaising with internal stakeholders, patients, and external customers to resolve issues efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.

Managing the workload & processes of the Accounts Receivable function and providing a professional customer focused service for two separate NHS Trusts - London North West Healthcare University NHS Trust & Central London Community Healthcare Trust..



Ensurethat proceduresandtimetablesarefollowedforinvoicingandcreditprocessing,providing timely management reports and ensuring the completeness of the credit control process – including managing levels of debt outstanding & what consider relevant actions to taken in areas of dispute.



Provide extensive operational support totheTrust in managing its Income position byensuring that invoices are raised in timely manner and debts are paid promptly,managing issues thathavebeenescalated up as a result of non-paymentandmaintaining key relationshipswithinternal and external stakeholders.



Required todesign new processes and support the Head of Transactional Finance on the identification of improvements to systems that will make the service more efficient and streamlined.
