Support Worker, Flexible Hours, £17.50 per hour

Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Support Worker to join our team, providing care and support to individuals with autism and mental health challenges in a home-based environment. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being, working flexibly to meet the needs of our service users, including part-time, weekends, and ad hoc shifts.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide person-centred support to individuals with autism and mental health challenges, enabling them to live independently in their own homes
• Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management, promoting independence and self-esteem
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and carers, ensuring a holistic approach to care and support
• Support service users to access community-based activities and services, promoting social inclusion and participation
• Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the care team
Required Skills & Experience
• Experience in caregiving or a related field, with a patient and encouraging approach
• Understanding of autism and mental health challenges, with a commitment to providing person-centred support
• Valid driver's license, with ability to travel to service users' homes and community-based activities
• Flexible and empathetic, with ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Comfortable working in a home-based environment, with ability to support independence and dignity
