We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated SLT to join our CAMHS Community Multidisciplinary Team. This post is ideal for:
• An experienced B5/B6 SLT ready to progress in their career.
• A current Band 6 seeking to expand their specialist skillset
• An SLT with strong foundational experience who is keen to move into CAMHS for the first time

You will be contributing to a multi-disciplinary service supporting children and young people accessing CAMHS. This will include:
• Carrying out individual Speech and Language Therapy assessments and produce reports and recommendations for implementing communication reasonable adjustments
• Providing specific speech and language therapy interventions to individuals where appropriate
• Liaison and advice with families, carers, education and health care colleagues in how to support CYP with SLCN with/without neurodevelopmental differences in order to facilitate reasonable adjustments and increased access to services.
SLTs in CAMHS are a core part of the multi-disciplinary team, supporting the understanding of the patients communication needs
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check.Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

You will be contributing to a multi-disciplinary service supporting children and young people accessing CAMHS. This will include:

• You will be responsible for completing specialist speech and language therapy assessments and contributing to the identification of speech, language and communication need
• You will highlight communication risks and reasonable adjustments when providing 1:1 interventions and when formulating as part of the MDT.
• You will contribute directly to offering bespoke therapeutic interventions working directly with service users, carers and families, the MDT and other agencies
The role requires a high level of clinical and professional expertise to ensure that children and young people with speech, language and communication needs accessing CAMHS, can benefit from a well co-ordinated pro-active, specialist, efficient and effective speech and language therapy service within the designated setting.
The service includes individual assessment, therapy and management, training, advice and liaison.
All Speech & Language Therapy employees must hold a relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with RCSLT and HCPC.
