Demonstrate a high degree of evidence-based knowledge and act as a role model by participating in learning activity across the service Provide expert knowledge to support Teams in maintaining a safe clinical environment, while also developing the competence and confidence of the care team Assess and evaluate training regularly to ensure best practice is maintained within local and national guidelines Evaluate learning activities to identify and inform future practice Promote life-long learning among staff through reflective practice and to build on the training and development programme Develop and implement competency frameworks in order to assess the ongoing development of clinical and professional skills To use a range of skills to influence, inspire and encourage learners To contribute to the development of standards and performance To be competent in presenting and leading teaching and training in a variety of settings and to a variety of audiences both clinical and non-clinical. Knowledge and Information Resources To keep up to date with areas of clinical practice informing the service of all changes Responsible for providing accurate and complete data to maintain the training database as appropriate and produce monthly reports as requested To be computer literate and able to work with a variety of internet based packages/models Personal and People Development To participatein networking, professional updates and benchmarkingto maintain a current knowledge of professional issues To generate and use appropriate learning opportunities and apply own learning to the future development of practice To maintain a Personal Development Portfolio, in line with Trust Policy and Professional Registration To contribute to the development of others enabling them to apply current knowledge and skills in practice To actively promote the workplace as a learning environment encouraging everyone to learn from each other and from external good practice. Contribute to identification of relevant and monitoring of quality standards and assessments
