Role overview

Are you looking for a role with autonomy and variety whilst making a difference in families' lives?




We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Family Support Practitioner to join our Family Services team in Dorset.




This is a zero-hours position, offering flexibility in line with service requirements. Working hours will be allocated on an
as-needed basis, subject to incoming referrals.




Your role will involve supporting families / individuals to achieve their goals through a variety of interventions such as:




· Direct and practical family support

· Family mediation

· Positive activities with young people

· Parenting programme delivery

· Family advocacy

· Supervised contact

· Therapeutic interventions




You'll thrive at building relationships with those that you are supporting and your organisational and time keeping skills should
be strong. You will have worked in this role previously or have transferrable skills from other positions. Your personal values
and experiences will enrich your ability to support.




The service operates 7 days a week, including possible weekends and evenings, providing opportunity to work flexibly allowing
applicants to meet a healthy work life balance. You will be providing support through visiting people in their own homes, working
in schools or other community settings.




You will be required to travel within your designated area of work, therefore a full driver’s licence and your own transport are
essential.
