Morson Edge are recruiting for a Safety, Compliance & Assurance Lead (SCAL) to support a high-profile UK sustainment operation within an Integrated Training Centre (ITC) environment at RAF Marham.
This is a critical assurance role, responsible for delivering all Safety, Compliance & Assurance activity across a regulated maintenance and training environment. The position plays a key part in maintaining licence to operate, regulatory compliance, and customer confidence.
The Role
Reporting to the Safety & Quality Manager, and working functionally with senior Quality and Maintenance leadership, you will provide specialist safety and quality assurance support across the Integrated Training Centre.
You will ensure compliance with regulatory, certification, legislative and contractual requirements within a joint enterprise environment, supporting the delivery of maintenance training capability.
This role is central to assuring continued certification to:
ISO 9001:2015
BS/EN 9100
Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) requirements
Maintenance Training Organisation Exposition (MTOE)
Safety & Quality Management Plans
Key Responsibilities
Support implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System within the ITC
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, AS/EN9100 and DSAT requirements
Manage and administer Safety, Compliance & Assurance reporting and action tracking
Oversee Safety Management System (SMS) reporting processes and associated actions
Manage internal audit plans and conduct independent assurance audits
Support responses to audit findings and monitor corrective action effectiveness
Engage with MOD Quality & Assurance stakeholders
Provide training and guidance to staff on safety and quality processes
Ensure all documentation and governance records remain accurate and up to date
Report on Quality & Assurance performance to senior management
Safety & Governance
Apply Human Factors and Error Management principles to all assurance activities
Ensure compliance with governance and assurance frameworks
Support process confirmations and independent audits
Promote a strong safety and quality culture across the organisation
Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Aircraft Maintenance / Safety / Quality Assurance & Compliance within a fast jet performance-based support contract
Strong knowledge of:
DSAT requirements
ISO 9001 / AS/EN9100 standards
Safety & Quality Assurance processes
Maintenance Training Expositions
Proven experience operating within regulated aerospace environments
Qualified Auditor (essential)
Qualifications:
Relevant Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent vocational experience
Skills & Attributes
