Garden Centre Team Member Driver/Warehouse
Location: Gosforth
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Part Time
Hours: 20 Hours Per Week Including Weekends
We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver/Warehouse to join our Gardens Centres The successful candidate will be expected to complete home deliveries so should be physically fit as this is a very hand on role and you will need to handle large and heavy loads.
Friendly and outgoing van driver proficient in safe operations, passenger transportation and inclement weather driving. Excellent communicator and problem solver with a solid track record in the field.
Providing a first class service in our warehouse.
The purpose of this role is to provide accurate and prompt picking, packing and dispatch of the depot warehouse. The role requirements are to complete various warehouse tasks, as safely, accurately, and as efficiently as possible upholding and the highest standards of health and safety at all times.
Also includes other duties to help maintain the efficient and successful working of the warehouse.

Outstanding safety background.
Experience in retail is essential to the role as is good customer service.
Flexible, late nights, early mornings

Full clean driving license essential, must be over 25 for insurance purposes.

The successful candidate will:
• Hold a full, clean driving licence.
• Be comfortable driving large vehicles.
• Be experienced in a retail environment.
• Have a friendly and positive attitude, providing a great customer experience at point of delivery.
• Be flexible as some weekend working will be required.
• Have good organisational skills.

Duties will include:
• Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork.
• Taking responsibility for a company’s freight and assets by reporting any suspicious activity at work.
• Storing and rotating stock according to established procedures
• Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors
• planning of routes beforehand.
• Stock/fixture transfers between stores when required.
• Travel using company vehicle across our sites.
• Travel to at times support at our centres across the country
• Liaising with different departments in the company
• Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment.
• Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods.
• Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules, and schedules.
