Description
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated EHC Assessment and Review Co-ordinator (Band 3) to join our dynamic team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and effective management of Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessments and reviews, providing essential support for children and young individuals with special educational needs and disabilities. As the EHC Assessment and Review Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the EHC assessment process from start to finish, working closely with families, educational institutions, and health and social care professionals to ensure all statutory requirements are met. Your role will involve gathering necessary information, facilitating meetings, and maintaining comprehensive records to support the best outcomes for the children and young people under your care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a keen understanding of the legal frameworks surrounding EHC plans. Responsibilities
Coordinate the EHC assessment and review process in accordance with statutory guidelines.
Engage with families and stakeholders to gather relevant information for assessments.
Organize and facilitate multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss EHC plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and reviews.
Monitor timelines and ensure compliance with relevant deadlines.
Act as a point of contact for families, providing information and support throughout the assessment process.
Collaborate with educational institutions and health professionals to develop actionable EHC plans.
Requirements
A relevant qualification or experience in education, health, or social care.
Strong understanding of the SEND regulations and EHC processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Proficient in IT and record-keeping systems to manage documentation efficiently.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating projects or processes in a fast-paced environment.
A compassionate attitude with a commitment to promoting the rights of children and young people with special needs.
