Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our recruitment business. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy-duty plant machinery to transport materials safely and efficiently across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, safety procedures, and basic mechanical knowledge to ensure smooth daily operations. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic construction or mining environment, contributing to essential infrastructure projects. Although the role is temporary, this is an ongoing requirement and offers the opportunity to work with Mando Solutions clients moving forwards.
Duties
Operate dump trucks in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Transport materials such as gravel, sand, or debris to designated locations on-site or between sites.
Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle prior to each shift, checking fluid levels, brakes, tyres, and other mechanical components.
Assist with basic maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and optimise routes.
Ensure the secure loading and unloading of materials, adhering to weight limits and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
Qualifications
- A valid CPCS / NPORS / MPQC card with the relevant machinery type
- Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy machinery in a commercial setting.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their work and prioritise safety at all times.
