Description

At System C, our technology helps connect and transform health and care outcomes. We support organisations across health and social care to share information securely and deliver better services.

We're looking for a Part-Qualified Accountant to take a key role in ensuring accurate recognition of recurring revenue and associated cost of sales, in line with FRS 102. This is a hands-on, detail-led position with real ownership - ideal if you enjoy working with contracts, month-end processes and getting to the "why" behind the numbers. Things can move quickly here, so we're after someone who stays calm in ambiguity, collaborates well, and follows through with integrity.

What you'll be doing

  • Validating financial data against customer contracts (including new business, renewals and changes)
  • Preparing routine revenue and cost of sales recognition for customer contracts (recurring revenue and CoS)
  • Supporting month-end close through accurate journals backed by robust schedules and controls
  • Managing third-party revenue and cost of sales recognition, including prepayments and accruals
  • Reconciling and maintaining key balance sheet positions, such as deferred income, accrued income, accruals and prepayments
  • Producing financial reports and providing clear updates to stakeholders
  • Working cross-functionally (e.g., with Sales/Commercial/Operations) to resolve queries and confirm contract and billing details
  • Supporting audit requirements by ensuring documentation is complete, consistent and easy to evidence

What we're looking for

  • Part-qualified (ACCA/ACA), with relevant experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Strong month-end fundamentals: journals, reconciliations, controls and clear audit trail thinking
  • Confident communicator who can challenge constructively and build good working relationships
  • Organised, resilient and comfortable with shifting priorities and incomplete information
  • Good Excel skills; exposure to finance/CRM systems

If you're ready to grow your career while making a genuine difference in health and care, apply today.
