What skills and experience we're looking for
St Cuthbert's RC High School are currently seeking a Catering Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust
Daily duties will include:
• Assisting with the basic preparation of food which may include some cooking.
• Setting up of the servery counters for lunch and operating a till throughout break and lunch times.
• Daily cleaning of the kitchen including washing up, sweeping and mopping.
• Serve pupils and staff in line with school requirements and report any inappropriate behaviour in line with the behaviour policy.
• To encourage children to take a balanced meal, especially those on special or restricted diets.
• To be aware of children on special or restricted diets for medical reasons or children with allergies.
We are seeking an individual who has:
• Ability to work within a team and have a flexible approach within that team.
• Ability to organise workload and work effectively under pressure.
• Good communication skills and an ability to relate well with others.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Excellent attendance/punctuality record.
