What skills and experience we're looking for

St Peter & St Paul’s RC Primary School is currently seeking 2 cleaners to come and join us. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.

Your main duties would be:-

• To provide a cleaning service within the school premises against agreed specifications
• To perform commercial cleaning tasks such as dusting sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising
• To clean, wash, sweep, polish, dust, empty litter bins and dispose of waste in designated areas including toilets and associated facilities, and fixtures and fittings using, where appropriate powered equipment.
• To become conversant with the operational and maintenance of cleaning and maintenance equipment.
• To keep cleaning equipment in a safe and clean condition and to report any unsafe electrical equipment to the office immediately
• To store chemicals/consumables in a safe and secure place and to ensure efficient and effective usage.
• To order chemicals/consumables as necessary either through the Site Manger or Head teacher ensuring that stock levels do not fall to an unacceptable level.
• To inform line management of problems actual or potential relating to delivery of cleaning service.
• Clean toilet areas and restock supplies as needed
• Maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance, conduct and positive relationships with all pupils, parents/carers, colleagues, governors, trustees and members, treating everyone with dignity and respect, becoming a role model to students through appropriate personal presentation and professional conduct
• To take responsibility for and participating in continuing professional development
• Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of self and colleagues in accordance with the School’s Health and Safety policies and procedures and current legislation
• To follow formal work practices, and Health and Safety procedures at all times
• To understand and follow cleaning schedules and instructions
