Hays are recruiting for a temporary operations' analyst. This role is based in Manchester city centre for a financial service company. This is an immediate starting role. We are seeking a highly organised, detailed and driven Quality & Assurance Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about compliance, operational governance, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will be at the heart of maintaining high operational standards across the centre. Working closely with Quality & Assurance Specialists, you'll support assurance activities, strengthen control frameworks, and help shape a culture of compliance and quality through targeted training and knowledge-sharing. You'll also provide essential operational support to the Risk and Operations Services, deputising for office management and facilities responsibilities to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
Your new role
- Conduct operational checklist audits and deliver insights on compliance trends.
- Track control deficiencies and monitor remediation progress.
- Maintain documentation, ensuring alignment with corporate standards
- Prepare audit evidence and documentation bundles for internal and external reviews.
- Lead the planning and administrative coordination of Generic Controls Meetings.
- Identify training needs across the centre and create clear, engaging learning materials.
- Deliver training sessions on key topics such as Health & Safety, office protocols, and governance.
- Support the creation, publication and communication of procedures and working instructions.
- Draft and distribute internal communications, updates, and building notices.
- Support social, charitable, and community activities to foster a positive team culture.
- Act as the primary administrative and facilities support.
- Manage procurement tasks and ensure continuity of office operations.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confident presenter with experience translating technical content into accessible training materials.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Clear, professional communication style and strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- A proactive, "see it - fix it" attitude with a high degree of ownership.
- Experience working in a regulated, compliance focused or internal controls environment.
