The advertised job plan is provisional and will cover all aspects of a consultants professional practice including clinical work, teaching, research, education and managerial responsibilities. It should provide a clear schedule of commitments, both internal and external. In addition, it should include personal objectives, including details of their link to wider service objectives, and details of the support required by the consultant to fulfil the job plan and objectives. Provisional assessment of Programmed Activities in Job Plan: For a whole-time contract: Direct Clinical Care: 9 PAs on average per week (includes clinical activity, clinically related activity, predictable & unpredictable emergency work. One PA of which will be accounted for by on call activity Supporting Professional Activities (SPA): 1 PA on average per week (1 for revalidation activity, 0.5 for other activities such as teaching & research) On Call Commitment: Category Percentage A 5 %
