Job Description:
We are looking for a female PA to help support two brothers with BFL Syndrome (Borjeson-Forssman-Lehmann syndrome). The role will include engaging with their hobbies and getting into the community.
How will the hours be used?
12 hours per week, 6 hours per child a week. The hours will be used on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This is a highly rewarding role supporting two young brothers. You will work alongside another Personal Assistant, alternating your support between both children.
The role includes accessing the community and engaging in the children’s chosen activities, such as trampolining, swimming, visiting the shops, and taking part in playtime within the home.
Whilst the Personal Assistant is permitted to smoke during working hours, this must be done outside and never in the presence of the individuals requiring support.
Required Training:
Previous experience working with young people with learning disabilities. Previous experience/knowledge using Makaton.
Transport will be required and there is one puppy in the home.
Hourly Rate:
£13 per hour for an employed PA.
£15.60 per hour for a self-employed PA.
