Job Vacancy: SEN Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary School

Location: Arundel
Contract: 08:45-15:15 | Monday-Friday | Term-Time Only
Salary: £82.14 - £85.50
Start Date: ASAP

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs to thrive within a mainstream setting?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive primary school. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs while working as part of a supportive and experienced team.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs

Support children with EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies

Promote inclusion and independence within the classroom

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO

Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience working with children with SEN (e.g., Autism, ADHD, speech & language needs, SEMH)

Is patient, resilient, and nurturing

Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills

Understands the importance of safeguarding and professional boundaries

Holds a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
