An opportunity has arisen within the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group, for a Provision Lead to join the Construction Department.
As a Provision Lead your role will involve
Assisting the Deputy Head to provide leadership within a specific discipline for the development of up-to-date materials and resources to support curriculum development, teaching, and learning.
Assisting the Deputy Head to improve the delivery within a particular discipline of the schemes of work and the assessment, recording and reporting of student achievement.
Assisting the Deputy Head to monitor and address attendance, punctuality, and student disciplinary issues in a specific discipline.
Assisting the Deputy Head to ensure appropriate attention is given to the promotion of equality and diversity in the curriculum in a particular discipline.
Monitoring the curriculum within a particular discipline against key performance indicators - success, retention and achievement rates and targets; value added; attendance targets:
Assisting the Deputy Head in coaching and mentoring of staff as appropriate
Ensure timely completion and submission of registers for a particular discipline and other student related documentation and returns.
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
A full level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational discipline is essential.
A Certificate in Education or PGCE.
Assessor Awards and IQA Awards (or willingness to work towards)
GCSE A*- C / 9 - 4 in Maths and English or equivalent.
Experience of delivery across the vocational discipline; course leadership within the relevant vocational discipline.
Experience of establishing and maintaining effective relationships within the group.
