Assembly Operative

Location: Stourport
Hours of Work:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm (30-minute lunch)
• Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

Pay: £12.21ph - £13.68

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assembly Operative to join our Assembly Team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling conveyor unit components for a range of products, working from technical drawings and specific customer requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble components in line with technical drawings, customer specifications, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Inspect, identify, and package finished products to company quality standards
• Notify the Assembly Section Leader of defective tooling, jigs, fixtures, or any production issues impacting targets
• Comply with responsibilities outlined in the Quality Control Manual and procedures in line with BS EN ISO 9001 requirements
• Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the work area
• Support other departments when required
• Adhere to all relevant ISO processes and company policies
• Carry out any additional duties as reasonably required

Skills & Experience

• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (training provided for the right candidate)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good time management and ability to meet production targets
• Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Effective communication skills
