Crynodeb
Adhere to and promote the vision and values of the Macmillan Cancer Support Centre, ensuring all service delivery aligns with the overarching goals of the Centre and Trust. Support in the development of an inclusive and accessible cancer information and support service at the Macmillan Cancer Centre alongside the centre manager, addressing the health and wellbeing needs of patients, carers, families, and all individuals affected by cancer within the community. Empower and enable individuals affected by cancer to live as independently as possible by providing proactive, timely access to information and support, connecting them with local, regional, and national services. Support the Macmillan Cancer Centre Steering Group, involving key community groups, partner organisations, and representatives from patient forums to ensure the service is truly community-focused and patient-driven. Collaborate with Macmillan and the Trust to recruit, train, and support volunteers at the Centre, tracking activity, training and checks, gathering feedback, and driving improvements based on data and recommendations. Support in the development of KPIs and data collection systems to monitor and evaluate the impact of the Macmillan Cancer Centres services, benchmarking against best practices and implementing changes based on feedback and performance insights.
