As Lead Technology Delivery Manager of AI Assurance, you will lead the Home Office’s AI assurance function, a high impact service operating under sustained and growing demand. Sitting at the intersection of technology delivery, risk management and policy intent, the role ensures that AI-enabled services are safe, lawful, ethical and effective, without creating unnecessary friction for delivery teams.

You will lead the development and operation of proportionate assurance approaches for AI and algorithmic systems, translating complex technical and regulatory expectations into clear, usable frameworks that teams can practically apply. Working closely with senior digital, data, policy and operational leaders, you will shape how AI assurance is embedded across the lifecycle of products and services, from early discovery through to live operation and continuous monitoring.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery. You will build trusted relationships across the organisation, unblock problems, and help teams navigate uncertainty in fast-moving AI contexts. You will also represent the Home Office and shape in cross-government and external assurance conversations, contributing to the wider maturity of AI assurance practice.

This role may include line management responsibilities.
