Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner must hold relevant level 3 qualification, to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives while working within a supportive and professional setting.
Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Supervise children during playtime, meals, rest periods, and organised learning sessions.
Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
Observe and record children’s progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
Support children with their individual needs, including behavioural guidance and emotional support.
Assist with daily administrative tasks related to childcare records and planning.
Contribute to the organisation of nursery events and activities that encourage community involvement.
Requirements
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood development, and nursery regulations.
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and nurturing qualities essential for working with young children.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Job Type: Full-time 35 hours per week. Term time only.
