We are currently seeking a Mechanic to join our reputable workshop in Walsoken. Working as part of a small team, you will be working within a well established and reputable local garage in Wisbech as a mechanic.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out vehicle repairs on various vehicles, including cars, vans, and motorcycles
Carrying out repairs on a range of vehicles, we do not specialise in a particular make or model and so your role will be fairly varied.
Carrying out diagnostics using our diagnostic equipment
Maintain accurate records of test results and vehicle information.
Provide exceptional customer service by explaining test results and offering advice on necessary repairs or maintenance
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle mechanics
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for inspections and repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required
- Excellent attention to detail to identify potential defects or issues
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and explain test results
Working hours will be Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm and Saturday 8:30am to 1pm.
This role would suit someone looking for their own autonomy who perhaps is sick of the grind of main dealers. Although our garage is well equipped it would be essential to have your own basic tools.
