Job Description:
Caws Mon is the most modern dairy in Europe, built with sustainability in mind. The factory is the first at scale cheese-making facility to have been built in the last 25 years in the UK. We are producing block cheese for our customers in Holland and for future sales within the UK.
We are looking for a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer with electrical bias. Our facility will run 24/7 including bank holidays. Shift Pattern 3on3off – Days & Nights – 12 Hour Shifts
We need an Engineer with a can do attitude, who faces a challenge with positivity and determination. As an Engineer at Caws Mon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to utilize your expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize our equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical knowledge and possess the ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conducting routine maintenance tasks on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
· Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
· Performing electrical installations, repairs, and upgrades as needed.
· Collaborating with the maintenance team to develop preventive maintenance plans and schedules.
· Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety within the facility.
· Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
· HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
· Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
· Strong electrical aptitude with expertise in PLCs, motor controls, and electrical systems.
· Solid understanding of mechanical principles and experience with mechanical troubleshooting.
· Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
· Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends as needed.
