Summary
We are seeking an organised and proactivePeople & Organisational Development (P&OD) Assistantto provide high‑quality administrative support to the P&OD Directorate.
Working closely with the Head of Employee Relations and the Wider Employee Relations Team. You will support key P&OD processes, including Subject Access Requests, P&OD Data Management, policy support, and Employee Relations procedures. You will also serve as the first point of contact for P&OD‑related queries, helping ensure efficient service and a positive staff experience.
Essential Criteria
• GCSE (or equivalent) in English
• Proven administrative experience in a busy office environment
• Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
• Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to manage competing priorities and handle sensitive information discreetly
Desirable:
• Experience in HR / People & OD
• Experience using HR systems (e.g. ESR)
• CIPD qualification or willingness to work towards one
• Provide comprehensive administrative support, including minute‑taking, transcription, correspondence and record keeping
• Maintain and update P&OD trackers, systems and reports (including sickness absence data)
• Support formal processes such as disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings
• Organise meetings and prepare documentation in line with Trust policies and timelines
• Support P&OD projects, audits, training logistics and policy updates
• Handle sensitive information and confidentially, and in line with data protection requirements
