An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Radiographer Assistant Practitioner to join us at the NCA.
We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals who want to develop their career within the Radiology Department of a busy major trauma hospital in the role of an Assistant Practitioner.
We welcome applications from accredited Assistant Practitioners, working within a Diagnostic Imaging Department and also individuals currently studying towards the qualification who are keen to gain hands on experience in Imaging.
The post will provide the opportunity to develop your clinical skills in adult and paediatric plain film, emergency and trauma radiography, theatre and DEXA scanning.

You will have completed the assistant practitioner course and have a the following qualification:
• Foundation Degree in Assistant Practice: Diagnostic radiography.
The post-holder will perform plain film examinations and DEXA scans in accordance with local protocols and provide support to the wider Radiography team. You will be expected to work in a range of hospital settings and community settings which includes Pendleton Gateway. In addition, the post holder will be expected to work in theatre by undertaking the fluoroscopic imaging using our C-arm. Your clinical duties will be performed under the indirect supervision of the senior radiographer.
The post holder will also be expected to support the department in non-clinical roles such as stock control etc.
