Hours: 45 per week (07:30 - 17:30)
Rate: £28 per hour (Umbrella)
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Civils Operative (360° Excavator Operative) to support construction works at the Pembroke 400kV Substation. This role is essential for civil works, drainage, and ducting installations as part of a major energy infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various sized 360° excavators safely and efficiently
- Install surface and foul water drainage, including oily water systems
- Install HV & LV ducting and draw pits
- Install HV & LV precast troughs
- Undertake excavations, blinding, and concrete placement to foundations
- Reinstatement of excavations including backfill and compaction
- Follow all site health, safety, and environmental procedures
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience operating 360° excavators
- Experience with drainage, ducting, and civil foundation works
- Ability to work safely on a high-voltage substation site
- Full PPE (must be in place before attending site)
Desirable Skills:
- NPORS or CPCS above 10 tonnes
- NPORS or CPCS below 10 tonnes
- Lifting operations experience
- National Grid Persons (NG Persons)
- Manual Handling certification
Additional Information:
- 45 hours per week, 07:30 - 17:30
- Umbrella payment only
- Temporary full-time contract
- IR35 pre-assessment completed
