Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistants to provide high-quality home care services to individuals in their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives through personalised care and support.
Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.
Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance as needed
Help with domestic chores including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
Administer medication following prescribed instructions (training provided)
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Drive to clients’ homes using own vehicle, ensuring safe transportation to social and medical appointments
Requirements
Valid UK driving licence and willingness to use own vehicle for work purposes with the relevant business insurance
Experience working within a care home or home care environment is essential minimum of 12 months UK care experience (paid role)
Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
Excellent communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach towards client and family members
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering consistent high standards of care
Flexibility in shift patterns (days and nights)
Able to work 11 or 12hr shift patterns
