The role includes day-to-day cleaning and maintenance tasks in the Bronte Parsonage Museum, the associated offices, learning space and the visitor facilities.
The working pattern will be - Part Time, 12 hours per week/3 hours per day, worked over four days per week, Sunday - Wednesday. Rotas are provided four weeks in advance.
Benefits include 20% staff discount in the museum shop, free membership of the Brontë Society, a monthly wellbeing hour, individual membership (‘Essential’ level) of the Museums Association and access to the research library. We are a Real Living Wage employer.
How to apply
The ‘Job Description/Person Specification’ and the ‘BS Employment Application Form’ can be downloaded from the Bronte Parsonage Museum website - under the Opportunities tab. Please note that we only accept Brontë Society Application Forms, so please do not submit a CV/Resume style application.
The Brontë Society has a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusivity. Disabled, D/deaf, neurodivergent people and those from Black, Asian and ethnically diverse backgrounds are currently under-represented in our workforce, so we particularly encourage applications from people in these groups.
The Brontë Society is an equal opportunities employer. Please help us to monitor how we are doing in this respect by completing the anonymous ‘BS Equal Opportunities Monitoring’ form, which is again available on a link below.
