We are seeking a high-achieving, ambitious STEM graduate to join an Outstanding secondary school and sixth form in Newham as a STEM Teaching Assistant. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a high-performing academic environment, supporting students across Maths, Science and Engineering subjects.

As a STEM Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in stretching and supporting students across Key Stages 3–5.
The Role:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Engineering
• Deliver targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment at GCSE and A-Level
• Support high-achieving students preparing for university applications in STEM fields
• Assist in practical Science lessons and Engineering-based learning
• Encourage analytical thinking, problem-solving and academic confidence
• Help maintain an engaging, challenging and inclusive classroom environment

What We’re Looking For:
• A 2:1 or above in a STEM-related degree (Maths, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry or related fields strongly preferred)
• Strong subject knowledge across Maths and/or Science disciplines
• Confident supporting students up to A-Level standard
• Organised, proactive and enthusiastic about STEM education
• Passionate about academic excellence and student progression
• Considering a future career in teaching, research or engineering
