Customer Service Assistant (Food to Go)
Flexible Hours And Shifts Available

About us…

At SPAR/CJ Lang we pride ourselves on serving local communities for over a century. We are a long established family business and cultivating a sense of belonging is important to us.

Our Customer Service Assistants work as a team; together we provide everything from tonight’s dinner to ‘Food to Go’, to the communities we serve.

We are open 7 days a week from early morning until late at night so flexibility is important; you might need to work some mornings, evenings and weekends.

Please note that due to Licensing Laws, applicants must be age 18 or over.

About you…

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Customer Service Assistant for our Food to Go concept to join our busy and fast-paced store. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a strong Food to Go team, working within a thriving and innovative concept.

Although experience working with food in the FTG sector is a plus, as well as the retail sector, don’t worry it’s not essential as we’ll ensure that you have all the training you need to do an amazing job.

This is a hands-on and varied role within our high-volume Food to Go operation. You will play a key part in the daily production and service of our freshly prepared products while delivering outstanding customer service.

In return, we offer flexible hours and benefits including 10% staff discount and career opportunities.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.

How you serve the community…

• Put our customers first by providing service, help and advice
• Prepare fresh Food to Go products daily in our prep room, including rolls, wraps, salads and baguettes.
• Cook and serve from our shop floor counter, delivering our breakfast range and new lunch concept.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and compliance.
• Keep counters fully stocked, manage rotation and minimise waste.
• Actively promote and grow our Food to Go offer by engaging customers, upselling deals and working with the wider team to drive sales.
• Unpack deliveries and re-stock the shelves

This is a fast-paced environment, so you must be confident working efficiently while maintaining quality, standards and excellent customer service.
