We are seeking an experienced Site Manager based either close to London or Southampton for our client. This is a full-time, permanent role and an exciting opportunity to join a well established, successful and growing company.

Provide high-quality and innovative solutions in Architectural Façade Systems and Curtain Wall and Cladding. Based in Cambridgeshire, the company are currently in their 25th Year and still continue to thrive.
The role
The primary purpose of this role is the management of day to day operations on site. Making sure the project is brought to a successful completion, on time, to budget and within quality constraint. Acting as main point of contact on site for the Project Management team, assisting them as required.
The role will also include the following responsibilities
• Liaise with Project Management to ensure adequate labour and sub-contract resource is available on site. Utilising the agreed labour subcontractor list and site management of staff in the case of absence or sickness
• Requisition of labour to ensure works are completed in line with the construction programme
• Regular communication with the Commercial and Project manager on the Master Programme and development of stage/ section programmes
• Supervise, manage and motivate all the site team, including effective management of sub-contractor activities on site.
• The maintenance of comprehensive and accurate records of activity related to projects on Daily Site reports and issue to the Commercial and Projects managers on a weekly basis
• Record and issue labour and plant returns maintaining adequate resources at all times.
• Arranging any necessary courses for the team so as not to impact working activities
• Manage the installation by ensuring the project is completed to design drawings. Issues to be recorded and resolved with the Project Team
• Responsible for site snagging
• Provide OM information as required
• Take responsibility for HSQE with the client, architect and main contractor and ensure all H&S issues are communicated to the team making sure all are suitable trained, qualified and up to date with H&S practices
• Management of respective Site Manager workload on project extranet systems such as Conject/ Aconex/ 4 and uploading all information into the relevant project folders
• Create and maintain excellent relations with clients, design teams and neighbours as well as any other stake holders
• Timely preparation of Rick Assessments and Method Statements
• Ensure workmanship and material standards are achieved in accordance with specifications. Building regulations, H&S legislation and quality standards
• Prepare benchmarks, area sign offs and handover to the client
• Carrying out internal safety audits, complete and issue H&S documentation and welfare responsibilities – including the ordering of PPE
• Site set up making sure its in line with statutory requirements
• Site inductions, making sure all operatives and visitors have attended both main contractor and our own site inductions
• Carry out DAB’s each morning or at the point of task change
• Attend main contractor site specific meetings
• Preparation of toolbox talks and implement to all site personnel
The Person
For this role we are seeking experienced Site Manager with previous experience in Structural Glazing.
Skills and attributes:
• ESSENTIAL – CSCS Gold or Black Card. SMSTS and First Aid at Work
• HS, plant and lifting equipment qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA and ideally working at height and harness awareness
• Previous experience as either a site Supervisor or Manager and ideally internal and external
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role
• The ability to manage and lead by example
• Motivation teams delegating tasks and setting deadlines
• Planning and organisational capabilities
• Effective, efficient, approachable and able to communicate at all levels A quick thinker with proven problem-solving abilities
• The ability to read and understand construction issue drawings and programmes
• A full driving licence and access to transport is essential

This role is offered on a Full-time, permanent basis. The salary offered is depending on experience
