Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
As our CAD Technician, you will work within the Design Team to produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models supporting civil, structural, and mechanical designs for water infrastructure projects. Your work will be essential in delivering high‑quality, compliant, and safe design outputs across a wide range of engineering activities.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on safe, efficient, and sustainable project delivery. You’ll work closely with engineers and project teams, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with project requirements, standards, and timescales.
Key responsibilities include creating and updating detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD. Producing designs in line with relevant standards, developing pipework and civil layouts, and incorporating supplier information into drawing packages. You will support health and safety integration, contribute to pre‑construction documentation, maintain drawing registers and revision control, participate in design reviews. Driving continuous improvement in design practices.
What you'll bring
• Are you proficient in AutoCAD?
• Have you gained experience producing engineering drawings for civil, mechanical, or water infrastructure projects?
• Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Are you detail-oriented and quality-focused?
• Proactive and willing to learn
• Are you a strong team player with good communication skills?
• Able to manage workload and meet deadlines
