Crynodeb
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Service Manager on a fixed-term basis to cover a secondment until March 2027. This role provides countywide leadership to the Adult Care Assessment and Triage Team, who deliver professional assessment and triage at the front door of Adult Social Care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational leadership to the Adult Care Assessment and Triage Team, ensuring high-quality, timely responses for Derbyshire residents accessing support.
- Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with partner agencies, supporting the ongoing development of our front-door offer.
- Use collaborative working, problem‑solving skills, and creativity to develop effective and efficient solutions for complex challenges.
- Support, supervise, and develop staff, fostering professional autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead on performance management, ensuring delivery against agreed outcomes and standards within the council.
- Navigate and coordinate complex systems and processes to help individuals achieve positive outcomes.
- Line manage a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring compliance with statutory duties under the Care Act 2014.
- Promote and embed a strengths‑based, person‑centred approach across the service, encouraging independence, choice, and control for those we support.

The successful candidate will join an established management team and provide line management support over two days per week: Thursday and Friday.
