What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential
• Proven track record of outstanding IT teaching or evidence of outstanding practice during training
• Knowledge and understanding of the curriculum requirements for the subject
• Experience of teaching IT at Key Stage 3 and 4
• Proven track record of strong and effective behaviour management strategies
• Excellent ICT skills
• Strong ability to analyse data and use it purposefully to inform planning in order to have a positive impact on student outcomes
• Ability to communicate effectively and relate well to all stakeholders
• Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities
• Ability to work as part of a team
Desirable
• Experience of teaching IT at Key Stage 5
• Experience of teaching Media at Key Stage 4 and 5

Further details about the role
We are primarily looking for an applicant who can teach Computing at KS3 and IT at KS4 and KS5, ideally full-time. A full-time applicant would preferably be able to teach a second subject such as Media or PSHE.
We welcome applications from ECTs and we run a highly supportive and successful induction programme that meet the full requirements of the Early Career Framework.
