Property Finance Assistant
Location: Hammersmith, London
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 (DOE)
Hours: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
The Company
An established and well-regarded residential property management company based in Hammersmith is looking to appoint a reliable and detail-driven Property Finance Assistant to join its growing team.
The business manages a well-maintained residential portfolio and offers a stable, supportive office environment where finance plays a key role in day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys structured, hands-on accounts work and wants to be part of a collaborative property team.
The Role
This position focuses on the day-to-day financial administration of a residential property portfolio. You will work closely with the Directors and Property Managers to ensure financial records are accurate, payments are processed efficiently, and reporting deadlines are met.
This role centres on operational property finance rather than technical accounting or audit progression.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing purchase and sales ledger
• Processing invoices and supplier payments
• Performing regular bank reconciliations
• Rent allocations and landlord payment reconciliations
• Assisting with VAT preparation and month-end reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
• Handling utility accounts and supplier administration
• Supporting general finance and office administration as required
About You
• Minimum 1 year of practical finance experience (property experience highly desirable)
• Experience with rent allocations or client account reconciliations
• Working knowledge of Xero (or similar accounting software)
• Strong Excel skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Well organised, able to manage multiple deadlines
• A proactive, team-focused approach
This role would suit an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper who enjoys ownership of day-to-day accounts within a property environment.
What’s on Offer
• £30,000 – £34,000 salary (depending on experience)
• 20 days annual leave + bank holidays
• Company pension
• Supportive and stable working environment
• Opportunity to grow with an expanding business
If you are looking for a stable property finance role where you can take ownership of the day-to-day accounts function and be part of a collaborative team, we would love to hear from you.
