Job Title: Further Education Exams Access Arrangements Assessor
Location: South Manchester
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time | Term-Time Considered

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Exams Access Arrangements Assessor to join a busy and supportive Further Education college in South Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled specialist who is passionate about ensuring students receive the appropriate access arrangements to achieve their full potential in assessments and examinations.

Working with learners aged 16+, you will play a vital role in identifying, assessing, and evidencing the need for exam access arrangements in line with current JCQ regulations.

As the Exams Access Arrangements Assessor, you will:

Conduct specialist assessments to determine eligibility for exam access arrangementsWork closely with the SEND, ALS, and Exams teams to implement approved arrangements

Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and evidence for inspections and audits

Liaise with students, parents/carers, curriculum staff, and external professionals where appropriate

Your expertise will ensure fairness, compliance, and inclusive assessment practices across the college.

To be successful in this role, you will:

Hold a Level 7 qualification in Access Arrangements Assessment (or equivalent)

Have a current APC (Assessment Practising Certificate)

Demonstrate strong knowledge of JCQ regulations and processes

Have experience working within a Further Education or post-16 setting (desirable)
